Day 15 - Is this challenge over yet??

Dinner tonight was Pumpkin-Black Bean Soup with sandwiches for those who wanted them.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping day and I can not even tell you how excited we are about that fact. Old Mother Hubbard called and said it is time to go grocery shopping. Incidentally, 1995 called and they want their joke back.

Bah! I kill me!

*Ahem*

We have upped the budget to $100 a week. Only because we can. I mean, it is good to know that I can feed my family for very little if I have to, but since I don't have to, I'm not gonna. How is that for selfish? I know. I suck. I also live in a house where an 8lb bag of apples can disappear by the next morning (I'm not making that up. It happened more than once last week.) and said apples are $7.89 a bag.

Honestly though, $100 a week isn't really a lot. The freezer and pantry are just about bare, so we are starting from scratch.

So while it didn't kill us to spend $2.15 per person, per day, it will be nice to spend a little more than that. ($2.86! Woohoo! Party time!)
